HO-HO-HO, NO, DOE-DOE-DOE

Eight deer taken this week, six does and two bucks. Terry Renfroe, Roger Petty, Jeff Bauer, Paul Abbott and Shannon Shaffer were the lucky ones. Paul and Shannon are shown above. Also Briggs Williams took his very first buck, a three pointer. Congratulations Briggs. Last but not least, Jordan Mixon took a button this weekend. It was a productive weekend for late December. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Now that it is the end of the season do not forget to drain your houses for the winter. York's needs everyone to pick up there deer as soon as possible. Do not forget your next year deposit and signs need to be white with orange letters for next year. Next year some time in 2009 the timber company will finish cutting logtown. So if you have any ladders, lock-ons etc., you may want to take them down now and not leave them in the woods. The timber company is not responsible for them. Also it is a good idea to flag your tower cables and paint your post, bright orange, so the timber guys can see them and maybe not run over them. The tall pines has also been marked with blue paint. Paul tells me that the timber is marked for sale. When they actually sell it, they have twelve months to cut it. So keep that in mind also. I would go ahead and remove any ladders and lock-ons in that area also. Shane says we will try and post in late January- February. If anyone would like to help, which we always need, please contact Shane and let him know. It is a great way to learn the property. I have put a poll off to the side please rate your season. Also at the bottom of this post you will see the word comments. Please click on it and leave any suggestion or ideas that you may have for next year, or just comment on your season. We always want to hear your suggestions to make this a better club. See you new years day for the last hunt.

My dad just will not join a club, he loves to hunt WMA'S and Piedmont National refuge.
