The last two weeks were good weeks for Big Rack members. No everyone did not shoot a big buck , but thanks to Steve Moody and Bryan Hegwood we do know they are there. Moody's last week (138 inches) and Hegwoods this week (162 6/8 inches, show above) are what we all live and hunt for. Bryan took the massive buck above on November the 26th. The very next day Shane Harness took an 8-pointer shown below. Also last week Jerry Hobbs, Josh Black and Tyler Newborn all took does, which is imperative to the health of the herd. Bryan's deer has to get you excited. This is what we are striving to accomplish, more of these monsters. Realistically a monster on this club will be plus or minus 140 inches. Bryans deer would be a monster almost anywhere. His deer is more of an exception to the rule, but I am ecstatic to think we can have bucks like this. We have several bucks that were taken off and not scored. We need the racks brought back and scored, we must have that information. If you did not get your buck jaw bone we need it also. With all the rain this weekend we still had a good turnout at the Thanksgiving lunch followed by a productive members meeting. Thanks to everyone that turned out and a special thanks to Shane Harness for all the hours he put into the dinner, thanks it was a success. December the 13th Big Rack will be having a fish fry. Please let Shane know if you plan to attend. A lot of people rap it up this time of year so be sure you clean up around your place before you leave for the season.
