It has a been a slow start this year as far as taking deer. I actually took the first bow kill last weekend October the 2ND. Robbie Williams shot the second one with a bow on October the 5Th. Then came opening weekend for primitive weapons and I knew the writing on the board would begin. Last weekend 6 does where taken, Terry Renfroe shot two, Larry Garner, Andy Mixon and Milo Parks who also shot two. This weekend is opening weekend for rifle and we are supposed to have some cooler temperatures. Nolan brought to some of our attentions that Georgia added a new amendment to the regulations, children under 16 years of age can use a rifle the week of primitive weapons week. Below is the link to the regulation change. So they can get an early start, keep that in mind for next year. This is your second reminder, we are having a cookout on Saturday at lunch for opening weekend and we need all that are planning on attending to call Shane an let him know that you plan to attend so we can get a head count, only 3 have responded since the blog posted it two weeks ago.
