WEEK 3

Sherri Pasternack shown above with her fine eight pointer taken this weekend. Weighed 210 pounds and had a 14" spread, Congratulations Sherri her first buck and a nice one. As Sherri is showing you above the bucks are on the prowl. I can personally tell you that in the last two days they are moving, seen multiple bucks this weekend and two were shooters. Had one if front of my 9 year old daughter at 30 yards. She told me the scope was turned off, it was black. Anyway if you have not figured it out it walked for another day. As she was telling me all this her breathing and heart rate were accelerated, she now knows what buck fever is, never the less a great experience for both her and myself and yes I was excited for her as well. Back to Sherri's buck, with the bucks weight and mass on the antlers it surely had to be a buck that was passed on last year. We will not know the age until we get the jaw bone back, but looking at last years records (that is why we keep them) average buck live weight was 214 pounds for a 3 1/2 year old so that would lead us to believe that he is at least 3 1/2. This last weekend we had a few more does taken by Milo Parks, Madison Williams, Tad Godfrey and Kevin Donahay who took a button. It is good to see the Florida boys on the board, having chili Saturday night you guys come on over. Yes we are having chili for supper Saturday night. Please call Shane and give us a head count if you intend on being there so we can supply enough food. It is time, see ya at the woods.
